(posted August 11 on Samplitude forum)

Dear Samplitude User,

We would like to announce the release of the upcoming version "Samplitude No.9" and are very proud to present you everything within 2 weeks:
- beginning from next week we will add some new information to the existing website
- one week later we will present a fully redesigned website in German and English
- between 25th and 31st August 2006 we will start distributing all Samplitude and Sequoia No. 9 editions - incl. upgrades & full versions - in both German and English

We would also like to say thank you for all your support, and we sincerely hope that all our improvements and new features will make your professional work more effective in the future. The entire team are still working very hard to serve the best – and we're really looking forward to this version, too!

Sincerely
S.Holly
MAGIX AG

and from Synthax, for you US folks...(and me)

The upgrade from Samp 8 Pro to Samp 9 Pro will be $250. You will receive a new Manual, DVD and your current V8 Dongle will be updated.

Synthax will make the update available through our Support Shop in a week or two at the latest…

more features//

hybrid audio engine - unique parallelrunning & changing of audio-modes
economy tracks- best audioquality and stability through big prebuffer, for lowest cpu-consumption
performance tracks - realtime-workflow and full power through smallest latencys, for best monitoring

new: advanced restoration - spectral cleaning, deesser
amphibia tube channel strip - tube with character
variverbpro - pefect, classic studio hall for all cases
score editor - including combined and extended midi-editing
track editor - management of global tracksettings
track fx presets - complete effektsettings and vst-instruments hands on
and more: autojamsession, audioID, extended controllersupport, aac(+) multichannelsupport for vst-fx and much more....

Also, it sounds like a "beat detective" feature called timewarp will be included in a patch for v9. It won't be here for the initial v9 release but it should (hopefully) be coming in a later patch.
