Okay so surely there's a new PCM on its way!

The Harman Pro insert in this month's Sound on Sound is offering a free PCM91 when you buy a standard price PCM81...

There got to be something in the offing...

I don't get SOS. Is this a world-wide promotion? What are the details? I think that's a pretty swell deal, a '81 and a '91 for ~$2K.

Why would Lexi roll out a new model now? Don't those guys deserve a nice break? Relentless output, I tell ya...

I'd be interested in a 'baby' stereo 960 for around $2500 or less.

Anyone seen this deal from a dealer? Any links?

Still think they should do a DSP card for the computers with a pseudo LARC.

Lexicon always have be one of the leading companys. I don't know if they're not interested in being succesful anymore or what , cause there would be so many products that would be a hit with the Lex name on it.

A DSP card, just some Powercore, PT or Soundscape Plugins? It all would work. Imagine a PCM70 or 480 plugin? They could even still make money with their old algorhythms.

Sad story!

Well, they kind of tried this with their Core32 platform. Failed miserably though. Sad story indeed...

Maybe Lexicon comes with a new pcm model with some new specs.
Something like the MX-serie but better quality (pcm 96)
96khz - usb interface and editting software - surround etc.
