Wow!!

Aux SEND AUTOMATION!! FINALLY!!!

Anyhow, as i said and been saying before to Magix and Sam users, i simply hope that this time, in Vers 9 that Magix will surpass the needs and that they will go beyond and reach the LEVEL of most of DAW out there. And hopefully that they really took in CONSIDERATION the BIG TIME FACT of Making SAM or SEQUOIA a FULL Automatable DAW !! Because its A MUST!!!

I can not wait and if this time they reach the NEEDS, i think i will then consider renting it for 3 months and then BUY finally!!

Peace and one!

Yep... same here..... hardware inserts are a big one in my book.

I really wish they would focus a bit on the "little" bugs. The thing does seem to run fine for the most part but I always bump into things that drive me crazy.

I don't want any more plug ins and Roboto stuff, I want stability on every included feature and I want the addition of hardware inserts.

Oh and I SERIOUSLY doubt that they would hit an August release date. I have seen how Magix release schedules have gone in the past.

they are already beyond the level of most DAWs out there.

Ive used Nuendo, Cubase, PT, Wavelab, SAW Studio, and Pyramix...

I hope samplitude keeps charting their own course and maintains a high level of quality. I dont want it to be like every other DAW out there. It isnt, which is one of the big draws for me.

It isnt bloated with unneccessary BS, not overhyped...Sequoia seems to have a great hold in the classical recording community, which I am a part of.

Hello T.Ray!

When i said that they need to ewach the Level of other DAW out there, i meant by this espcially having one of the most important FEATURE that almost all DAW already offered and that SAM lack is "FULL ATUOMATION caapabilities" in All way and i think that we're not gonna start again this conversation here beause its been discussed here over and over and even SAM's user noticed that and i even had a Rep a Magix from Germany calling me and i gave him some examples of Automation that i do when i work and he answered to me that this will be covered soon.!! So that is what i meant but i did NOT mean that SAM or Sequoia is not of the LEVEL of PT or Nuendo etc.. come on.. I KNOW IT IS , its one of the BEST DAW out here in this world so ...!!

Enjoy.. Just wish that they fixe bugs and BRING THE FULL Automation capabilities as now that i heard they are adding FINALY the AUX SEND Automation (about time rigth?) so lets see what they will bring to Vers. 9

One !!

I agree with this. I've used about everything else too...still have SONAR PE 5 and a version of CUBASE...there are useful and even fun features in all, but in my experience, nothing can quite match Samplitude.

In the end, I guess I'm merely expressing a preference, but it is an amazing product, so the perception of MAGIX needing to "catch up"...well, it is hard to qualify and substantiate that as a fact. The only area where I percieve them lacking (at least in the past) is in successful marketing...and they seem to be getting better at that now.

They have seem to have a great dev. team, and the guy, Sascha, of DigitalFishPhones fame, who is developing all the new plugs has been popping in over the forum with some truly informative and eye-popping info. LOL. Long live Samp.

BTW, the native plugs in Samp hold their own against anything, and Sascha's plugs have been reviewed as "worth the price of the program".

Best,

Mark

agree. but the plugs are not ugly anymore in 9.0 :) ... and I am already in love with Sascha Eversmeier's new baby: AM|PHIBIA . this is going to extinguish this "uh, but its still a DAW so its soooo digital"-discussion.

Too bad the midi part of Samplitude is...well..... ummm...still not on par with Sonar/Cubase/Logic for example.. Also, I wouldn't call it the best sounding DAW..to me that still is SAWStudio..

I am in the beta-test group of sam v9 and from what I can see now the MIDI-capabilities have clearly left the amateur status... you'll even have a score-editor inluded (who ever needs that). however, I disagree with your last point. samplitude sounds terrific if not fantastic .. the sound was always the strong point in this soft - besides the object-based editing capabilities which are unique to SAM. I didn't check SAW in a while... but samplitude / sequoia have a fantastic audio resoultion since day one. they implemented 32-bit floating point accuracy and linear phase filtering before everybody else. sorry, the nearest thing on DAWs to analogue is samplitude... but you don't have to wear my underwear ;-)
