Chandler Limited EMI Plug-in Passes 2500k Download Mark + NEW PLUG IN NEWS

Chandler Limited Plug-in Passes 2500k Download Mark

Waverly, IA, 27 July 2006 - The Chandler Limited EMI TG12413 Limiter plug-in for Pro Tools passed its 2500 download earlier this week.

The plug-in, co-developed by Chandler Limited and Abbey Road for Digidesign Pro Tools systems, features two versions of the famous TG sound. The “1969” version is a recreation of the classic TG12413 Limiter used in custom EMI and Abbey Road recording and mastering consoles from the late 1960’s through the 1970’s. The “2005” version is a recreation of the Chandler Limited TG1 compressor which was remade from the original design information and circuit board drawings as provided by Abbey Road.

“We are very excited to see such a strong showing of support from the Pro Tools community.” Notes Chandler Limited owner and design Wade Goeke, “Our goal was to create a plug-in that was actually true in sound and function to its parent. I believe we’ve made a big step forward with the TG12413.”

The EMI TG12413 plug-in is available for use in Pro Tools HD, LE and Pro Tools M-Powered and compatible Avid systems. A demo version of the plug-in is available for download through Abbey Road’s web site. Additional Pro Tools plug-ins in the EMI series, including the TG12412 Mastering EQ and TG12414 Filter/Presence Plug-ins, are set to be released later this year.

CAN'T WAIT!! I love the TG12413 and I will happily buy their counterparts as soon as they become available.. I think Wade said that the two additional plug-ins will come as a bundle... COOL!!

2500K???? Who writes this stuff. I though it seemed a bit of an exaggeration to claim that 2.5 million copies had been downloaded. So it only 2500 - that should read 2.5K, I would have thought.

AUDIO UNITS

You realise that the Digi market is getting smaller.

Or should I say the Logic Pro market is expanding

Let the Flames begin....

Hey Wade,

WOW - that is outstanding news.

What goes into Beta testing for this version? I wold imagine that the algo's and GUI remain almost identical. How long do you anticipate the beta testing process will take?

and.....oh yeah......I am available for beta testing

Cheers!
