The Trion8000 is an interesting mic, it has this wispy top end sort of sound and overall is a bit of a smooth sounding mic. The low end isn't huge and doesn't produce a BIG image, but it's super friendly with sibilance on vocals and that wispy top is a different sound.

Nothing personal here at all and I know we're talking about a low end mic, but as soon as I read "interesting" and "whispy" , I quietly wander off to the other side of the street..............

It's a bit of a different sound is all, not what I expected. The top end is quite unique.

Are you thinking I'm saying it's like a "chick with a good personality"?

More like-"full of intent, but technically flawed" with "personality at a very interesting price point"
