7.3.1cs1 works on a Mac, but cs2 doesn't.

You must have a different version of cs2 than I do, then. The currently available one kills all output above ch 18, at least on my Mac Pro, although everything still shows up in I/O Setup.

If it shows in the I/O then its accessible, therefore the problem might be at the driver level, are you sure all I/O are selected in the driver panel?

Yes I did a direct back & forth comparison (via backup system drive). With cs2 it would not output any audio from anything above 18 even though they were in the i/o setup and I could assign the tracks to those outputs.

Frustrating.

Anyone having problems with 10.4.10? I am experiencing a new generation of random pops and clicks. Completely disabilitating.

And a small update. Because I was desperate, I unistalled the driver, and installed the old driver. Works like a charm now! WTF?

The current version of PTMP you can buy in box right now (I'm pretty sure) is 7.3. Looks like you would just need to buy that and then upgrade to whatever version you wanted.

Good luck, I'm working toward the same set up and I hear it actually works in plain old 7.3. I'll find out soon enough...

Lightbridge mania is fascinating. People would rather have no converters on a crappy interface than mediocre converters on a decent interface.

With digital technology purchases, rule #1 is, buy nothing until you actually need it. You want to upgrade to a digimax fs, do that now, but you have no immediate need to switch interfaces. Once you're ready to pick up a high-end converter, switch over your interface at that point. Every year, our options get more numerous, better and cheaper.

Thats a great idea on the waiting game. I do want a digimax to clock the 002 to since everyone has said the pres and converters are much better. I guess I just want to do this all at once instead of constantly redoing stuff bit by bit. But I'l definitely think about what you said. Guess I was just hoping to start recording 16 tracks with 2 of the digimax fs with better pres and converters at 96k (though i normally just do 44.1) instead of using the 002 crap.

I don't think so...it's still listed as a current product here and is still up on several retailers' websites...
