Soundscape products to augment SSL line-up

Oxford, England - 5 July 2006: Solid State Logic has deepened its support for workstation users with the purchase of Sydec Audio Engineering NV, developers of the Soundscape range of workstation partner products. SSL's own workstation production toolkit has grown in the past twelve months to encompass controllers, analogue & digital rack processors and plug-ins.
The acquisition has perfect synergy with SSL's commercial and technical development path.

The Soundscape team brings significant PC platform development experience to SSL. The combination of these skills with SSL's digital and analogue expertise will allow the development of exciting new tools for existing and new applications. The relationship also opens new commercial channels and allows a broader range of SSL and Soundscape products to be distributed around the world, delivering SSL's established brand values to a wider range of users.

SSL's recent investments in renewing the hardware and software of its manufacturing technology and updating its manufacturing processes will also bring significant benefits to both companies ensuring that high standards of quality and delivery are maintained as volumes are increased.

this may help these guys get some of the respect and attention they deserve, long time user of their Mixtreme card here... would love to have a SS system full blown

I'm shocked!

If this means that I get the Duende plugins for Soundscape, I'm happy.

But this reminds me somehow of the time when Mackie bought Soundscape and everything just became worse!

Euphonix and Steinberg with Nuendo and the 5-M/MC

SSL and Soundscape with ????. Given that SSL has made huge ground within digital audio and DAW setups in the last few years the possibilities that exist

If there was ever a time that someone could pose the question "move over protools", it could possibly be now.

Soundscape has the most flexible and professional software real time mixer around!

If SSL fills it up with it's algorhithms for compression, Gate, EQ etc' you'd be able to have a DSP based completely modular SSL mixer.
