The group buy is now closed. That was quick!

Assuming all goes well with this one, I'll think about doing one for a tube mic from the same company in the next couple months.

Why can't there be group buys on cool stuff like Royer 121's, Distressors, Brent Averills, etc

Price fixing. A lot of boutique companies only sell to one or two domestic dealers, with the understanding that they won't ever under-cut those dealers.

The Chinese mic manufacturers don't have any such moral qualms.

If any boutique manufacturer is interested in talking to me about a group buy on Analog Industries, I'd be absolutely thrilled to have a discussion. Drop me a PM! ;-)

(I did manage to sell a hundred mics in 40 hours. Something to consider.)

i was interested in this group buy, but...

i heard nothing much about the mic, if anyone has used it, how the sound was, what made the microphone good or valuable etc.
