Sorry to be an off thread byatch but enhanced audio Valve plugin was surely the worst plugin I've ever heard. Did they not use thier ears when making it. Awfull.

I doubt it's a tape emulator as it's not a typical VU meter, it's a gain reduction only meter, not found on many devices. I don't think it's a maximiser as that wouldn't fit into the URS classic theme. I thought it might have been a vari-mu, but the meter is reversed. My guess is it's the Pye limiter, the meter scale is the same, it has dB on the face, & no one else has emulated it & it's a vintage classic that fits the URS image. Love to have a vari mu plug in, tho'!

timmyyy!

now, of course i can't take credit for this but i was talking with tony here on gearslutz when the chandler/emi plug and the ssl talkback compressor plugs came out a few months ago and i wrote how i hoped that with abbey road and ssl getting into the plug-in game it might encourage other software developers to come out with vintage, esoteric compressors and i put a pye limiter at the top of the list. has URS been listening (reading)?

hey, a guy can dream, can't he??

I think it's a vintage simulation of the MASSEY CT4!!! Note the similarities in color and the gain reduction meter.

La2a and a 1176LN would be nice. I have the UAD but hate the limited track count with my mac .

A tape machine would be really cool too

Fantastic!

This might be my first URS purchase.

How long does it usually take them to get the AU available?

Though they're not really compareable, I'd like to see how the URS stands up to the Waves SSL strip.

Hit it when you're ready, Tony

looks interesting ! I will have to demo it when its an AU.

So is this URS's answer to the SSL Channel Strip from the Waves SSL bundle ? minus the gate/expander.

or

" digitally recreates characteristics of a transformer input and a specially designed 1975 VCA gain reduction amplifier"

who's this ?

How many VCA compressors can you think of that everyone loves... is old... and has transformers...

Now, I'm not saying it is a 160 VU... but it certainly would make sense.

Also, the AU versions are about 2 weeks out, but don't quote me on that.

This is the part that got me really interested:

"Easy Eight
We call the URS Classic Console Strip the "Easy Eight". The URS Classic Console Strip's eight knobs map perfectly to the Command 8, Digi002, ProjectMix I/O, ProControl, HUI and other popular controllers allowing for quick adjustments on individual tracks. The eight knobs map to Page table 1 and all other functions map to Page table 2.
"

It's time to kill the mousing
