LAUTEN AUDIO TO DEBUT NEW HORIZON TUBE MICROPHONE AT WINTER NAMM

LAUTEN AUDIO TO DEBUT NEW HORIZON TUBE MICROPHONE AT WINTER NAMM 2006
New Unit Designed to be a Workhorse for the Discerning Engineer ANAHEIM, January 19, 2006—Lauten Audio, a new high-end microphone manufacturer, will display its first product, the Horizon tube microphone, at Winter NAMM 2006 in Summit Audio booth #6983.

Designed to be a true workhorse for the most discerning engineer, the Horizon has an open response with smooth clear highs, a meaty mid-range and a tight bottom end. “Our goal in creating the Horizon was to develop a high-end, all-around microphone with a unique, yet true sound,” says Brian Loudenslager, president of Lauten Audio. “This is definitely a unit that musicians and engineers will want in their arsenals. You can use the Horizon on everything from bass drums to acoustic guitars to vocals to just about anything you can think of. Considering the clarity, the precision and the versatility, this is a microphone you have to hear to believe.” Expected to hit the street in March, the Horizon cardioid tube microphone is an optimal combination of components that include an NOS military-grade tube and a high-performance transformer. In addition, the microphone sports an internally shock-mounted large-diaphragm capsule and a two-step -10dB and -20dB pad, which results in very high SPL capabilities. The Horizon microphone will ship with a 20’ Gotham Audio cable, which features double-reussen shielding and Neutrik gold pin connectors. The unit also comes with a case, a hard mount, and a power supply. The estimated street price is $549.
