| RAVEN dRT is a VST plugin for Windows, designed to allow replacement of drum tracks in a DAW with high quality samples. It enables rescuing a good take, where the drum sound is not suitable for the track. It features Very fast, accurate, responsive triggering 8 velocity splits and variable response curves for realistic performance Use any WAV sample files (8 to 32 bit, 8 to 192KHz) - some 24 bit / 48KHz samples are included MIDI output for triggering other software drum instruments Cost : £35 (approx E50 Euros / $60 USD) More information at www.digital-black.net |

| the drum head simulation is a demo of some experimentation and research into virtual acoustic (VA) / physical modelling (PM) of drums "hitting" the drum head with the mouse in different places shows how the ripples spread across the surface of the head (green and red colours for peaks and dips - black for not moving) if you "hit" the drum head again while the vibrations from the previous hit are still in motion, then you can see how the new motions interact with the old ones ultimately this might potentially form the basis of a drum synthesiser right now? it's just a toy for the curious (or bored) to play with! |
