| Whoa - when the PCIe G5's came out, I SWEAR Digi themselves said on the DUC that the PCIe Core cards would be identical to the current Core cards...i.e. NOT Accel. Hmm - now I suppose we'll see "old" non-Accel cards dropping in price on the used market.................. |

PTHD and Accel that we have today 2.PTHD Accel Core PCIe and Accel PCIe. the cards are not swappable. most PC's dont have more than 2 pcie slots and all new macs only have PCIe. so if your on the PC today your using the current HD system. Only if you are getting the new MAC G5's can you use the new PCIe system. The new pciE systmes will only support a 3 card system (core accel pcie and 2 acccel pcie).. so if you want a larger HD system you will still buy the older core and accel cards plus an expansion chassis (or a PC with more PCI/PCIX slots.... whew......  | |
