FYI: This month's Future Music has 335 snares on the dvd that comes with it

Very nice sounds too. I especially like the "ska/reggae" set they have...awesome rim shots with great ring to them.

It's the european version of the magazine and it's the one with the Roland V-synth module on the cover. For only like $13, it's worth it.

both future music and computer music have quite often really useful material (samples, tutorials or even free software) on their dvd's

Uh? I thought those future music sample cd's contained some of the worst single hits i have heard in a long time. Not a single usuable sound for me anyways. Each to his own i suppose!

if you use them as they are, i agree, but if you tweak and layer them, you can get some nice sounds

agreed! tho surely its better to start with a quality sound in the first place. I'm layering less and less these days due to solid orginal hits.
