Ohm Force group buy

Hello,

I would like to inform you that I'm running a group buy together with Ohm Force. All of their plug-ins are available single or in bundle. For this group buy they've also made a "Stiff favs bundle" consisting of Ohmboyz and Ohmicide.

The first seven days is "Happy First Week", so people who sign up during this period will automatically get a little higher level (more on that on the rules page).

ohmforce stuff has been around for a while.

hows does it compare to newer distortion plugins etc? Im tempted to get in on one or 2 of these but I need a good reason.

I used D16 Devastor right now and freakin love it.

I might seem partial in this, but anyone who's been reading my blog for a longer period of time probably knows that I've been a fan of Ohmicide since it was released. I think it's a killer distortion plug-in and I can't remember ever trying anything that does the same. I've used it on everything. DI'ed guitars, vocals and drums are the more common uses but you could basically throw it at anything. But it is an effect, if you want a little saturation it's not the way to go, but if you want to make a drum loop incredibly fat or rip a vocal to pieces I can't think of anything better

It's still in my plug-in folder (pretty much retired Sansamp) and I don't like to keep many plug-ins there.

they are pretty extreme. at one time, a few years ago, Predator was the coolest sounding distortion plug - albeit only mono. Their ohmicide plug is pretty extreme, but its a bit hard to control - too many knobs.

One thing I hate about Ohm plugs is their patch system which only has something like 8 patches, unless you load a whole new set, and you can't tell which patch is selected. its archaic.

Just wanted to say that we're already at level 6 (-35%), meaning that anyone who subscribes this week will definitely reach level 8 (-50%). Nice

Any one have recommendations on what's good and what's not worth the money? Or is it just best to pick them all up for the added discounts as they're all good?

Went to the group buy link. first time it showed the buttons for joining. Next time I went back the whole middle section is blank on the page and I can't join. Is there an issue with the page, the link, or my computer? is there another link for the group buy I can try?

I just wanted to add that we've decided to make the group buy even better by adding additional levels. In short, since the top level (50% off) was achieved the first week, we decided to add even more to make it possible to get 60% off. All those who signed up the first week still have their two extra levels added.

Do you still have problems? It has worked fine here the entire time. Perhaps you just happen to be in the middle of the upgrade (see above)?

Anyway, here's another link, it's basically just a bigger flash but you might have better luck with it.

Document sans nom

New link worked fine. But when I get to the log in page and log in to ohmforce it gets confusing. I have almost all Ohmforce already so I just want Ohmicide. It shows all the stuff I already have and has a cohmpletion calculation in there. But I'm not sure if I hit submit whether it is going to charge me for just Ohmicide at the correct rate or will charge me for the complete Ohmforce package [which obviously I don't want to pay for as I already have it.]

Sorry for the late answer!

The cohmpletion will only charge you for what you don't already have yet. There's a little more on this on the group buys rule page I linked in my first post.

Yeah, I know some people who like it (I haven't tried it myself). It was a collaboration between Ohm Force and Gmedia, together known as Gforce, so it isn't really an Ohm Force plug-in.

Thumbs up

I'm in for the Ohmicide:Melohman. But it will be nice, if we get the instruments like the Oddity with a group buy in the future.

Well, got the email with instructions but a word of caution. If you try to see how much any other bundle will cost with your discount code the website will not accept that code afterwards. I tried to see how much the all all bundle was, even though I entered for the all FX, and now the code does not work any more :(

Just subscribed.
I like their products, and it seems that slowly but surely I will get them all... one by one.
;-)
Thanks for organizing the Group Buy!

... And thanks to everyone who's participating

I'd like to say that the group buy is ending this Sunday. As you probably know we hit the 50% barrier early on and made it possible to reach a 60% off. There's still some time to do that, hunt down your friends and tell them to jump in and we'll make it.
