| Amazing Guitar Strings Hand made high quality guitar strings- Go for the premium string you won't be disappointed. ![]() "The clarity and sustain of these strings is off the chart. I play hard and I never wipe the guitar down after playing. I go in and out of different tunings and regardless of what I do these strings hold up with amazing consistency. The days of settling on a string and just dealing with the marginal tone and longevity are over. Step up to the plate and get with Firewires if what you’re really longing for is great tone…this is your string" Steve Wildey Electric strings from $10.99 us-Acoustic strings from 13.99 TGP sales www.firewirestrings.net Have a great day Karen ![]() kbenard@firewirestrings.net |

| it's probably something like elixir strings where a TFE covering prevents the metal underneath from corroding, thereby sounding bright and playing smooth longer than conventional strings. |

| My regular strings are Snake Oil Rock Formula, but I recently tried a few sets of FireWires and I really like them too - more or less as much as the Snake Oil strings. Good customer service too. Even though they are pricey, they do last long, so it kind of evens out in the long run. I was able to get a custom set of progressive tensioned strings... 10-14-18-28-38-52

| I use standard D'addario strings because my sweat is so acidic they only last one night. However, I have changed strings for every show most of my life so I am used to it. In addition to this, I buy my strings in bulk so they cost me right at $3 a pack. I have tried the elixr strings and wasn't impressed it was easy to wear the coating off and the tone wasn't the same as nickel. All that being said if these things really worked to eliminate corrosion and I could used them for a few shows without any tone loss I would be interested in trying them. |

| That's quite a statement. Snake Oil would be very tough to beat in the electric string market (not so much the acoustic strings).

| I've been using Snake Oil strings since they came out, so the FireWires had a tough challenge, but after stringing 2 of my guitars with SOs and the other 2 with FWs, I can say that I haven't noticed a huge difference in tone, feel and longevity. The SOs do break more often, so that's something to note. Also, unfortunately, ordering SO strings can often be a frustrating experience with poor communication and long waits. Not so with FWs, which are slightly more expensive.

| Lives for gear | I had endorsed D'Addario for a long time, and would kill them in only 2 night's :P I found the blue Steels to last a little longer, but I'm looking for something that in the studio will stay nice and bright on my main use guitars. |

| I approached the company to be their artist relations guy after being very impressed with the tone and tuning stability of the acoustic strings which I tried first. I later tried the electric and bass sets and was pleasantly surprised with those as well. With a lifespan of 3 to 4 times that of normal strings (and I'm NOT even talking about the teflon impregnated sets!) these strings are actually pretty inexpensive; especially considering how much time is saved per year in changing strings with many other brands. I have been with the company now for 5 years and I can't imagine having to use another string, I am too used to changing strings every 2 or 3 months! Mind you I only play around 15 minutes a day on average... Definately worth checking out;) Bill |

| Hi sorry for not replying sooner - I didn't get a notification that I had a messgae:) Our P.T.F.E. (polymer tetra-fluoro-ethylene) coating is combining a dry inert plastic with a carrying agent of rubbing alcohol. This lighter coating doesn’t dampen frequencies and is applied over the finished string, allowing more wire to wire contact for more brilliance. P.T.F.E. lubricates the string, protecting it against oils, acids and oxidation, resulting in less fret wear, less chording noise, longer life and a smooth, silky touch. Have a great night Karen |

| Hi Karen, I like the sound and feel of nickel strings on my Strat - Do you only use steel on these? Even if, I still might like to try them out.. Also, I have to have tapered strings (at the bridge) for my 5-string Fretless bass. I been using La Bella "deep talking bass" but they're hard to find. Any chance you'll make tapered for bass? Thanks, and good luck with your products!
