Nice work!! I look forward to the RTAS version, since I'm not interested in getting the wrapper. Question-if I buy the plug for $29 now I can upgrade to the RTAS version later for free?

And iLok doesn't matter to me, either way is fine.

I think he said 'upgrades' will be free.

The RTAS version might be a completely different 'version'?

So you could get the VST version and the wrapper (+ free upgrades)

OR

The RTAS version for, say, $99? (+ free upgrades)

Just throwing it out there...

The RTAS version will be a port of ATA VST version 1.2. I'm hoping to release this beginning of October. Release version VST 1.2 should be ready in the next week or so with updated docs and examples. The introductory price of $29.00 ends September 1st then its $49.00, updates are free, period.

best

gary, any thoughts on my as-of-yet unanswered question about mix routing from a couple days ago? or is there something on the website that explains whether or not it will work for me?

thanks,

Please check the 1.2 basic and complex examples on the site, they illustrate
the current routing options pretty well - as ive said im working on some new examples to cover things that have been asked in the interim.

having a little crashy crash on this 96k mix session i'm trying it out on. any contra-indications at 96k? this is version 1.2.

mono instantiation on audio tracks fine, mono instantiation on mono aux tracks fine, stereo instantiation on stereo aux track seems fine, but as soon as i hit save after instantiation i get the spinning kaleidoscope of death leading to pro tools crash & quit. this is repeatable.

[aside] when would you use the mono -> stereo version of the plugin? [/aside]

in vst2rtas program, MM ATA shows up twice. the second one's path points inside the first one's (inside the plugin). the plugin is moved to the root vst plugins folder. i have tried wrapping both and only one of them. no apparent diff.

thoughts?

thanks.

The pc examples where produced at 96k on our windows machine
and no problems where encountered saving. There has been many refinements
to the code since the re-release was put up, which should cover problems such as this
it will be available on wednesday next week, along with a manual and further examples.

In future please direct support enquiries to mmsupport@mellowmuse.com with as much
detail as possible (machine/os) and ill look into it. I wont be answering any more specific
support questions from here. Use our forum or email instead.

btw: The RTAS version is coming along well and will probably be ready in a couple of weeks.

best
Gary

i don't know where mellowmuse is based, but you must be across some international date line where it's still wednesday, eh?

just kidding. i'm sure you're doing your best to get it out asap. i'm just here sitting on a mix i want to try it on and 1.2pr keeps crashing my rig, so in the meantime i write playful posts...

I was in heaven the first try but... after setting it up on a second mix,
I'm going nuts. It's actually shifting my OH's farther out of time.

All audio tracks sent to an dry aux through their output assignment (ATA set to audio)
All Aux tracks sent to Analog 1-2 output (ATA set to aux)
Dry aux buss sent to Analog 1-2 output (ATA set to aux)
Master (ATA set to master)
Bypass all sends
No mute or solo

PING

The overheads are now further out. Re-instantiate, same thing. Reboot PT, same thing.

PC, XP, Intel Quad Core
PT 7.4x (latest)

???

whence ATA 1.2?

okay, so either gary has become trapped under a pile of newspapers and unable to reach his PDA, or this is a cautionary tale of why one should never announce when one's new version of software will be released.

the problem is that the teeming masses may innocently take one on their word when one says wednesday, maybe even making plans around such an announcement.

but now that two such weekly milestones have come and gone without so much as a puff of white smoke from the chimney, the teeming masses are left holding their d!cK5 in their hands, wondering who was the more foolish...

just a little prose for your afternoon delight.

wow, really? name calling? what is this, the 4th grade?

is that really the best you can do, Mr. BJ? reduce this to name calling?

i was being fun and playful, even referring to myself as being the more foolish for counting on a software release to complete a mix when i was told it would be out "wednesday". obviously you did not even understand the gist of my post.

for the record, as it stands right now 1.2 crashes my computer every time and i use layers of auxes so 1.1 is useless. today is another wednesday, so some of us who waited last week were probably hoping maybe he meant today, but apparently to no avail. i was merely commenting on that milestone in my own playful way, as i have every right to do.

you, sir, are the one who is being mean.

Better to under-promise and over-deliver my dad always said.

Not that it bothers me, personally.

Man, I'm just glad you offer a solution.

Take your time — get it right, and we'll all be and and

HELP!

I've never been able to make this plugin work properly. I buy it as soon as I read about it. Somehow the ping stops at my vocal track with no other plugins inserted.

If anyone has a solution please let me know.

Cheers!
Raffaele

I figure it out. It was melodyne plugin. Anyways, it does ping thru all the tracks but drums are still a bit out of sync. Well, I hope LE soon incorporates ADC. Only reason I want to migrate to HD. Damn!

Ive decided not to release a new VST version and concentrate my efforts
on RTAS 1.2 as it makes the VST version obselete, its is coming along,
scheduled for early October release.
