Nah, it was A standalone version since its release. They just released plugin versions. Trust, I own the standalone, i've been waiting and checking for months.

yeah!

they work great....

in these months I grew to love the standalone app for spot-on cleaning though...

batch cleaning is way better with plugins... but the app is cool with its spectral view married with the waveform view...

My 2 cents.

That's pretty impressive. Wish Radius was in a standalone/plugin form 2.

Yeah the app version is good...though there are Audio suite (non-realtime) versions of somethings too.

I would have liked their big-format RTA, with all the good settings, as a plugin as well... Plus make it zoomable frequencywise and able to see more than 90db at a time (let me see 180db in the same screen please).

the spectral repair one doesn't go in logic. You get some error message saying logic can't handle non real time plugins or something, which dosen't seem right as melodyne seem to have figured it out.

Not that its a problem as I have been using succesfully in conjunction with a keyboard shortcut for "open external audio editor" which I will continue to do.

Its a bit weird that they even make it show up in the list of available plugins when its not available. Maybe it works in some other audio unit host?

they are one of the best purchases I've made recently, but I also find it strange I didn't get an email letting me know this update was available

Melodyne is a real-time plugin, though you have to record the audio in and it only plays back in realtime.

Logic Studio users often use Soundtrack Pro to do non-realtime editing. You can configure an editor in the Logic preferences that cna be easily launched...if you find yourself using RX all the time then make that the default over Soundtrack Pro.

I think they mention this on the sidebar on the RX site.

RX Advanced

Is anyone using the Advanced version which come with all the extra options? I'm wondering if it's worth the extra cost. I already have access to the MBIT within Ozone, but I'm all about options.

Also, does anyone remember what SRC technology Bias sourced out for Peak Pro? I use the high quality SRC within PP6. Bias used to mention it in more detail on their site, but it looks like they've removed that information. The reason I'm wondering is because I'm interested in RX Advanced's SRC, but I wouldn't want to pay the extra cost, if by chance Bias is using the same Izotope algorithm.

Use Audiofile Sample Manager for batch & izotope SRC.

I couldn't find out anything more than what is on the site. I e-mailed tech support and their response was the same. I A/B tested the demo to see if I could hear a difference, but I couldn't. So I bought the cheaper version of RX and downloaded a free resampler from voxengo and saved 700-800$ I also own Ozone but I cant seem to access dither without enabling the loudness (that doesn't work for me)..

In Ozone, you can enable just dithering and keep the loudness maximizer panel deactivated. This should be mentioned in the manual.

mmm.... I tried it on our main MacPro... the noise reduction and any other process inside the stand alone uses only 1 core....

depressing...

hopefully Izotope will support multi-core CPUs...

What about the plugins... did anybody test it for raw batch noise reduction using some batch-enabled apps?

Regards,

Regards,
I don't have a Mac version, but if i go to 'Edit' on the toolbar, then click on 'Preferences', then go to 'Misc' in the menu, then go to 'Maximum number of processors to use' drop down menu, that gives me a choice of how many processors i can use. Its default setting on my pc is set to 4, i'm using a Q6600 4 core processor. I dont know what the situation is with Macs, but RX does support muti-core processing with Windows at least.

Yeah But...

I resent the fact that the Advanced version can only be purchased from Izotope directly, and not at retail.
I like supporting my retailer of choice.
