| Hi folks - I'm not sure if there's already a plugin like this for Gearslutz, but as I couldn't see one anywhere I decided to create one (apologies if one already exists). It's one of those little search plugins for Firefox, which appears in the top right of your browser, and lets you search Gearslutz. If you click here you ought to be able to visit the Mycroft page, whereupon clicking on the name will install the plugin. If it works all right I might get some forum-specific searches done too. It's really handy when used in conjunction with the Context Search plugin [install], which then allows you to search for a bit of gear/text by highlighting, right-clicking, then selecting the Gearslutz search. Hopefully I haven't messed it up. Let me know either way. |

| Someone else made this already but I hid the post as I wasn't sure if I liked the idea, wasn't asked about it first and wanted some time to think about it. Or was that you? Can you contact me via PM please? Thanks, ![]() Jules Gearslutz.com admin |

| Hi. When checking posts with the search plug (that initially is a brill ID.) 4-5 of recent posts (position 3/4/5 7/9 are missing. Should I change something in the cache preferences (or so?) |

| Anyone else get that error? Do you have to tweak Firefox first somehow to get it to work? (works for me..)

Same problem here. Can anyone give instructions on how to use this search plug in once it is working? Do you simply type into the gearslutz bar or do you have to highlight text before you search? I downloaded firefox just for this so excuse me if this is a newbie question. thanks, Mike | |

| See if clearing the cache in the browser preferences fixes it?
