The DVD features over three hours of video, with one of Nashville's top engineers - Shane Wilson. His extensive discography includes credits with artists like Switchfoot, Third Day, Mercy Me, Owsley, and Big Kenny. If you ever wanted to know the tricks/thought processes/work flow of a mix engineer - this DVD is for you. Shane mixes a pop/rock song he tracked the day before, explaining everything he does in realtime...even more importantly why. Shane works "in-the-box", sending subgroups to his Trident console. He then applies one of his favorite tricks, parallel-processing, before hitting an ATR-102 1/2" tape machine. Throughout the three hour session, Shane shares his philosophy of mixing, as well as other tricks, plug-in settings, and techniques for mixing faster. As a bonus, Lynn Fuston of 3daudioinc.com assists with the printing of the mix for comparison purposes. Lynn utilizes Spectrafoo to analyze eight different printings of the same mix through various ouput paths, including tape, various converters, ITB, Neve Summing mixer, etc. Each printing is level matched very accurately, to create the most accurate comparison possible. Also included is a "director commentary" style discussion, featuring Shane Wilson, Russ Long, Jeff Roach, Lynn Fuston, and Jason Lehning. The panel watches and comments on Shane's workings (among other things). This feature is accessed from the DVD menu, adding an additional three hours of information! As always, we include all the original WAV files, exactly as Shane received them. Simply import them into your own DAW, and compare/remix/recut to your liking. | I'm in as well. I've been a fan of Shane's work for many years. I just finished production on an indie record that he mixed 2 songs on and as usual I'm blown away. I can always tell a 'Shane Mix' within a few seconds of hearing one. He has a very distinct sound and his mixes always sound huge and musical. |

| Update We are on track to send the masters to the manufacturer by the end of the week (Aug. 9th). In theory, we should have product in hand 20 to 30 days from then. The PAL version will take just a bit longer; we weren't happy with the conversion, so we're outsourcing that process to a company that specializes in that sort of thing. I'll let you know when I find out more as far as the schedule is concerned. btw, I spent the last hour auditioning the audio files. The tracks sound amazing! |

| So close, guys. Would've shipped to the manufacturer today, if not for one tiny omission in the credits  . Will re-author/finish on Friday. The manufacturing rep says they can turn it around in 12 business days or less. In theory, that puts us near the end of the month, possibly early September.Get 'em while they're hot! Once we start shipping, pre-sale discount is over. |

| That's about right. We're sending the masters to the manufacturer Monday. It takes a couple weeks from then, barring any snags. All you international customers receiving PAL discs will have to wait just a little longer, probably a week. We weren't happy with the conversion - had to call a specialist. I'll post schedule updates here. Thank you all for your patience! UPDATE: (Monday, Aug. 20) The masters are on the way to the manufacturer. |

| Just approved the test disc this morning. Manufacturer is going to get back to me with an estimate. I should have NTSC DVD's available in two weeks or less. PAL DVD's are apx. one week behind that. |
