Whats it like in Vegas?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out if I should move to Vegas.

First of all I work as a day trader so making it in the music industry is besides the point.

I play guitar, I have a medium sized studio that usually setup in the home.
I'm young, like to take musical and video risks, like to make music videos and short films.

Its so hard to figure out the local vibe in Vegas over the Internet.
I was there 5 years ago but I assume all the problems in the US are there also,
no work, immigration woes, high cost of living and scammers.

But besides that is it a good place to make friends and collaborate and take a risk, load up in a truck, film a music video for the week end, wake up drunk and naked, O wait joking on that part.

Any way, drum pits? Hippies? gatherings? Freak shows?

What is it like in the area? Bad drugs and crime?

I'm well qualified to operate ANY video and audio equipment from any NLE application and I do it well!

One thing I worry about is working for pimps and then getting dicked over at the end of the week as its quite common when you have a small business doing free lance that its run by dead broke scammers.

I'M DEVOTED TO ART not money but it does take money or they take your electricity away!

Do they put you in prison for smoking pot in Vegas but allow drug gangs to operate freely protected under the Constitution like they suggest on CNN and rants and raves? Is it really that bad in Vegas?

What if you have a full time job trading stocks and want to just chill on week ends and make friends and music in Vegas? From what I read they suggest illegal immigrant gangs have almost diplomatic immunity to run drugs and prostitution there. sheese!

One guy told me that the emptied an Salvadorian prison and bussed them to Vegas to operate drugs and women lol...
