how to charge for exports and uploads

When a client has recorded part of a project here, and then wants tracks sent elsewhere for more overdubs or mixing - how do you guys charge for prepping the files to go to a different format (example Nuendo to ProTools), and for the time uploading the files. Everyone thinks sending a disc by courier is passe but to me it seems easier than prepping and uploading lots of hi-rez tracks.
I guess I'm wondering if it's hard to justify billing for this since it would seem to the client it's as easy as attaching a mp3 to email and hitting go...any thoughts?
