Advice needed, intern/composer available!

Hello to everybody on here, great site! I have been a 'lurker' for about two years but never bothered registering, glad I finally did

Anyway, I have a rather complicated question/advice request;

I have had my first two 'big breaks' recently, one with an Indie Film which stars Mike Reid (his last movie ever, due to the inconvenience of dying!), Eric Cantona, Rula Lenska etc. The movie is called 'Jack Says' and opens in Leicester Square on the 12th February for a preview, so whilst it might not be a big deal to most of you, I am certainly happy to have it as a first lucky break!The other thing I have done is 20 minutes of music and narration of a tone poem, which has helped to pay the student load off a little bit!My question is; Where do I go from here?

I have been working on my album for about two years now and is due for release via CDBaby soon, but realistically I won't be able to live off of the royalties from the above mentioned commisions.

I would love to work full-time in a studio, and have contacted many yet I get the same reply each time "Get some experience with an SSL console then we'll talk", I work occasionally for a local studio guy and thoroughly enjoy it, making money for making music is the greatest thing I could want to do, but as you see I am drawn between two worlds; studio work or working on comissions.

Sorry the post is so long, or in the wrong place!

Thanks in advance to all who reply
