| Protools HD Alternatives? hello all, im gonna have $2k to throw down on a recording system after the income-tax return hits my bank. i already have 8 channels of decent preamps (isa428's) + 8 channels of lifeless preamps (octopre platinum). i also have a quadcore (2.4ghz) intel PC running XPproSP2 w/4gb ram. i do not own any converters though. ive researched the 003 LE system extensively, as well as the M-Powered compatible M-Audio devices. Ive looked at the RME cards, as well as many many recording software packages. I would like to have the ability of recording 16 simltaneous inputs @ 96k. any suggestions would be greatfully appreciated. p.s. can someone lead me in the right direction to achieve zero-latency monitoring? |
