midi beat clock synch problem in dp5...help!

I am triggering midi tracks in digital performer with my mpc. i have the mpc slaved to dp via beat clock. the problem i am having is all of the recorded midi notes are way late when i record them into dp. at 120 bpm they are about a 64th note late.

i did a test by creating a sequence in the mpc and then playing it back slaved to dp in record mode onto a midi track. the notes are off.

i did the same test in logic and the notes are dead on. also slaved to beat clock. any ideas? could it be that dp has a sloppier beat clock???

hope this makes sense. its kind of late here.

update: it appears to consistently be 6 ticks late which is substantial.

Id sync with MTC and not MidiBeatClock myself as MTC is way more accurate. get your buffer as low as you can in DP as well.

unfortunately mtc is not an option for my mpc1000. the thing is that there is less latency with logic and the same setup.

i didn't think buffer affected midi tracks only virtual instrument tracks. anyone know if there is a customizable offset. i guess another test would be to record midi and audio at the same thime and see how they line up in dp.
