Thread Starter | Session closes when 'play' is pushed
Hello, Am using ProTools 7.1cs10 M-Powered on a Mac G5 dual 1.8mHz machine through a Projectmix I/O. This problem applies to one particular session. I'll open the session...fine. I try to play it and PT shuts closes. If I opne the session and fast forward a bit into the song, it will play and not shut down. Return to zero and try to play and PT closes. ? thanks! |

Weird. Have you tried the "Save Copy In..." command? This should create a new session file, which might solve your problem. Another solution might be to create a new session and import all the tracks/settings from the old one. This solves problems for me when sessions all of a sudden decide they don't want to open anymore. |

Well!... I went into the session folder where there is another folder called, thankfully, 'Session Backups." There were about thirty of them. Opened an older one and Bingo! Back in business. The system saves a 'new' file with a .recovered. specification. Works just fine! Thanks! |
