| soft clipper! suggestions? Hi guys! Whats your favourite clipping/ soft clipping plug to put behind your compressor plug? Im talking bout mixdown plugs used on single tracks or busses, not during mastering... i tried different plugs such as the L2 plug or the simple distortion plug in Logic Audio. the L2 just cuts the peaks and the distortion plug is just harsh (nice for drums though...). Im looking for something adding harmonics, some valve type of clipper.... any suggestions appreciated!! btw im in native land, no tdm ..... |

| The plugins of the TC|Native Bundle which i use all have "soft saturation clipping", which is rather usable sometimes. |

| Which DAW are you using? I'm going to start working on a VST version after I complete my current project. It will not be a strict amplitude clip. I'm doing some tape and transformer style distortion with controls are certain aspects of saturation. Phoenix is the best one available but it's $499 and TDM only. If you are using something VST compatible, maybe you can be a beta tester. Email me at krampus108@hotmail.com |

| I'll second the motion for Phoenix. However, if you have the Waves Renaissance bundle, all of the Ren plugs have a nice saturation effect/"soft clip" effect as it approaches clipping on the output--its pretty nice.
