BCF 2000 rubish,or not?

Hi Weve got a Behringer(YUK)Bcf 2000 here, and use it sometimes to mix midi, can I use it to controll the mixer in Nuendo, and if so how? or should I just throw it away?

The BCF is really cool. It has its own B-Control mode by default and you have to import templates into Generic Remote into Nuendo. You can boot it in Mackie Control mode (read manual on how) and it will act like a Mackie Control. This way the faders mimic what you have shown/hidden in the mixer which is how I like to work. I typically hide midi faders so then my control surface does not use faders for them. Anway, it is really versatile. Of course if you are looking for mix projects with it I would just get a Mackie Control. The BCF is good for programming odds and ends and automation.

LCD-displays.
I use 2 BCF2000s, and 1 BCR2000, and have a small app, LC Xmu, that emulates this (and also does remapping etc...)

The faders are nicer.. and you have lcd screens above each fader to read what channel they represent. There is a dedicated master fader.. the buttons are nicer. The buttons on the BCF are loud as hell..very annoying with each press. The flexiblity of the button assignments on the BCF is nice but I like having dedicated and larger transport buttons like on the Mackie Control.

I mean the BCF is really cool for 200 dollars but the Mackie is obviously a lot better and why people spent x5 the $$ for it.

the reason i ask is because I have a bcf2000 and I love it. I played with the mackie control a little bit and I do admit i like having the transport controls on it but I just assigned some to my bcf and solved that problem. The lcds are nice tho I can't take away from that. The faders are about equal I actually like the ones on the bcf more because they are bigger. Good to see what someone on the otherside of it thinks
