Thumbs up Free Sidechain Plugin for Cubase SX

I've been looking for that for a while but I finally one plugin (which is free!) to use sidechain compression. I am using it to sidechain kick/bass or kick/premaster. The plugin is really simple to use. You put one instance on the kick and then put another instance of that same plugin on the bass track. Then you can choose which track will be the key trigger. You can use up to 4 trigger. So if you want to key your kick and snare to trigger the compression of your premaster group, this plugin let you do it. Check this out:

Glad to help someone! It's too bad we can't use Trigger Key and Side-Chain in Cubase as easy as in Protool!

Hi Luc,

thanks for this plug, but I do not get a certain thing.
Ducking is okay, but keying?
AFAIK a compressor which is in the "to be keyed channel" needs to be able to receive an extern key, not your second plug. What am I missing here?
Can you describe a working keyed compressor chain and name the plugs you use please?

I have no idea what you just said, but let me try and explain:

Put one instance of Twisted L on the kick and one on the bass. The Kick track is set to key, the bass is set to duck. Click the Alpha symbol for both. Now adjust the attack for a fast setting in the kick. Then go to the bass and adjust the threshold. You should see the grpahic reponse of the bass ducking in the bass channel.

Okay,

so this plug is something like a sidechain comp than a pure sidechainer for other plugs.
BTW the db plugs can do this since a long time, they too have sidechain possibilities.

Thanks anyway

If only the Waves SSL 4000 would have the sidechain feature for Cubase

Hi Luc,

one of the "older" Waves plugs has asidechain function too, I think it is the C1, but I am not sure cause I wirked with it one or two years ago. Unfortunately not quite easy to install, but it workes in Cubase SX / PC.
