Moin Alex,

For slight drive to mean distortion I usually reach for Ohmforce's Predatohm
I can recommend the whole bundle, you wont be disappointed: Great Delay, Filters, Phaser...

How do you fix a terrible snare sound?
The answer is, a hit single. (Thanks, Trina)

I like the guitartools from waves.. not for guitar but for drumdistortion, roommic distortion and stuff:D

they suck on guitars:D

Most - if not all "Amp"plugins suck for guitar but make a formidable synth/drum/vox thickener...

Alex - especially on drums, the Predatohm is DaBomb!!! It's basically a multiband distortion unit, so you can distort a single band while leaving the others clean...

PLUS - you can use them with a COOL skin;-)

Izotope Trash for drums is a no brainer. I also like Sonalksis TBK2 bit crusher for a lo fi gritty drum sound.
