Anyone know how to do the slowed down effect in.........

In Logic. I know how to do i cubase and with wavelab.

Except for having CDJX800's I don't know how to accomplish this in Logic Pro.

In case you still didn't know what I'm talking about, imagine a turntable stopping!

Quite simple.

Make an audio file of the place you want to slow down by bouncing it.

Load it into the EXS24 in an instrument and set the volume in the EXS24 to 0 dBFS.

Transpose the instrument to -12 in the EXS24.

Set the pitch wheel max. value to 12 in the EXS24.

Turn the pitch wheel to the maximum (up) and play back the sample while you progressively turn the pitch wheel down all the way. You can also use the Hyper Draw function instead and draw the pitch curve on the MIDI part.

This gives you 2 octaves of pitch instead of the normal 1 pitch, which is more than enough for the slow down effect.

As a seasoned Logic Pro user this would take me about 30 seconds to do (depending on the length of the bounced file obviously).

You have to do all that in Logic to do pitch adjustments? Are we talking just pitch or actual time stretching?

I know this technique also, but it's not very good when you have to do many of them. I wish there was a plugin, like on PT. A Pitch Envelope action like most editors have.

There's a plugin called tapeit. It does the job.

you could probably draw in a tempo change in the tempo ruler and click the option for each track to follow sequence tempo.

here's an example of what I'm talking about that was done in Wavelab using the pitch bend menu.

The trouble is that I don't have this feature on anything like this in logic or in any plugin on the mac side. Or is there?

That would involve real time - time stretching which most DAWs have now.. but Logic still does not to my knowledge.
