| PT Loop Record question I've gotta put a guy on loop record to punch some parts. He wants to try some different stuff, so I thought it'd be cool to just let him go around and around while I go for coffee. I've used loop record a bunch, but not like this. I need to be able to have pre-roll every time it goes around, since he's gotta drop in. Is there a way to do this, or do I need to put him on another track so he can hear what runs right up to the punch? Did that make sense? Thanks! max edit: the Ref. Guide says: "The pre-roll setting, if enabled, is used during the first record pass, but on each successive loop the pre- and post-roll times are ignored." That seems final. I can't imagine they wouldn't allow you to "get your feet" before the punch. The thing is, the part before the punch is great, but the punch is about one second later, so there's no time. |

| Could be wrong, but I think the only option is to make a new track, and set the loop so it includes the bar or two you need for pre-roll. I've run into this a couple times. If there's a way to get pre-roll for each take, I'd love to know. |
