Is Pace nicer/better on Macs than on PCs?

Pace, the anti-piracy technology
from http://www.paceap.com/
seems to get very different reactions
from various user communities.

Many folks in the PC world have a long
list of complaints, but many other folks
say that ProTools, Waves, Steinberg,
Antares and all sorts of vendors of
great products use Pace, and their
customers have no complaints.

I'd love to figure out why.

Is there a chance it is because Pace
works better on Macs than it does on Windows?

And no, I don't to hear that Mac
users are just smarter, better
looking, and nicer
than folks who DAW on PCs.

Well, I once had authorisation trouble on my Win2k machine, but never had any trouble on OS9 or OS X.

This is one of the very rare pieces of software that did not cause me any trouble on OS X.

When I moved from a Mac to a PeeCee I was totally shocked by how easy the process was including the authorizations. Every one of my friends who upgraded to Mac System X had lots more trouble. Pace indeed had a bad reputation on the PeeCee but I suspect those days are passed, at least based on my experience so far.

One thing that has always been ugly with PACE is demo versions. I learned years ago to go out of my way to avoid running them.
