Pro Tools Problem! Help!

I just got Pro Tools LE with a 002 Rack and am having some trouble. When I go to make a new session in my external firewire drive it says "session must be on an audio record volume." How do I make an audio record volume? Also, I just bought pro tools from guitar center and the disks are Pro Tools 6.9. Should I have 7?

Sounds like maybe you have a Firewire Drive formatted for the opposite of what OS you're using...like Pro Tools on a Mac & your Drive is formatted for a PC or viceversa, something like that.

Change the drive in the Workspace Window to be a Record drive.

This is a sticky on the DUC BTW.

When I go to the workspace window it says "'LaCie Disk' cannot be designated as an Audio Record Volume because it is not a valid audio record volume." Also, where is the sticky you're talking about?
