Thread Starter | Ick! M-Audio Firewire 410 Line ins...
At one of the places where I work, we just put together a documentary recording rig using a FW410/M-Powered system on a Macbook Pro. When I go off my preamps into the line inputs in the back of the interface, the sound is horrible. Sounds almost like it has a high-pass filter set at about 200 Hz or so. No low end, thin sound- horrible. When I move the plugs to the front and come in the instrument input using the pad, the sound is much better. The converters obviously aren't fantastic, but it is usable. The Line in is just plain bad... Anybody with experience with this box. Is it a design flaw or a bad interface that we have here? Thanks! --Ben |
