Fabfilter appreciation thread : )

Great company.

Questions on their forum answered real fast (within 24hrs).

Make a suggestion on how to improve a product, and they're happy to discuss it...

...and, more often than not, include it in the next update. Not just bug fixes or tweaks but new features! What more could you possibly want?!!

They've just released two new products out now. i'm very interested in the timestretch/tape delay madness!!

No, I don't work for them. They were so helpful i said i'd sing their praises. Then forgot : ) ...the new product anouncement reminded me, and here i am.

Their take on GUI really works for me as well

peace and love.

i'll be glad to chime in. I am using soft synths almost exclusively on a serious stage and am always hunting for the best possible vintage emulations. I've tried just about everything, and i'm a huge fan of arturia and some of the NI stuff, and will go to the far ends of the earth for more analog.

i thought i had my A-team of synths all lined up, when i tried the Fabfilter twin and volcano. the stuff stuck out to me in a way that no ss's have done before. The filter screamed and cut through my mix with a vengeance. The filter is really what defines many synths, and in this case, there is a versatility and ferocity pretty unrivaled. I;m so glad i found them recently, and am an instant fan...good job guys

i just love those soundcards + dsp
i just wish i could have the 42 chips , 2.6gflop * 3 = 7.8gflops , a intel p4 3ghz its arround 6gflops "not all for sound",
And 3 * 1555.00 EUR = 4665 EUR. Compare that to a quad AMD or Intel box (or two for that price) and it turns into a pretty bad investement.

& lacks the amazing features of the creamware fusion platform
But gains alot in flexibilty, power and a few magnitudes of order more plugins to choose from.

These type of DSP cards are outdated. To compete these days, you need the type of technology the Fairlight CC-1 card has ... or stay native. It is the future.

What on earth does this have to do with Fabfilter? Absolutely nothing. tutt

Anyway, I've tried the Fabfilter demos and they do sound very nice. Good to hear that the company is also good with customer care! Unfortunately there are other items higher in my shopping list priority queue ...
