Smile Rtas to Vst

Hi to all i know that you can change vst to work as rtas. But can you change them so that i can use rtas as vst if this is possible what would i use to do this ?

That's not possible, unfortunately, Digidesign doesn't allow this to happen...

Perhaps we need to send a guy over to Digdesign to threaten them a little...chop some thumbs etc...tell them they need to think different....

I haven't tried this, but could you make a work around by running Protools -and- a VST/AU host at the same time? Then, use something like JackOSX/Soundflower/Wormhole/Rewire to route audio from the VST/AU host to Protools (through it's inserts) and back? It's not elegant, but it might work if you're in a bind.

me too ... i am fed up with digi..

send a bunch a people to talk to them. don't forget the baseball bats...

on the other side there's enough excelent vst plugins, so that won't matter as much...
i was worried about that a couple of years ago . i even emailed most plugin companies that make adapters and all of them answered that they would love to build that adapter but were not allowed to by digi.

i know this is true there are better vst. I have a uad im just like the joe meek stuff that is in protools
