Amp sim (Mac Intel) for acoustic guitar?

What are the options? I play a steel-string, need a large variety of tones.

I don't understand the concept, really. Why would you want an amp sim for an acoustic instrument? Why don't you use microphones in front of the instrument?

Izotope Trash is Intel ready, and if you're running Logic, Guitar Amp Pro is cool too.

The concept is this: I want the sound of an amp + cabinet to run my guitar through. There are such things for acoustic guitars.

I've used Amplitube a bit, but it will probably never make it to Intel and the second version is pretty pricey and requires a dongle.
