Yes.

VST to AU - for Logic, Digital Performer, Final Cut Pro and Soundtrack users - available now.

VST to RTAS - for Pro Tools 6 TDM and LE users - available in a couple of weeks.

Will this wrapper affect the Freeze function or delay compensation in Logic 6?

No. The wrapper does not itself support delay compensation (but that matters little as the UAD-1 and Powercore have their own AU-versions, afaik). Works great with Freeze.

Will this VST-to-RTAS adapter work with the Mackie UAD-1?

Hey Angus,

Is it possible to create a RTAS-to-AU wrapper so I can use Bomb Factory plugs in Logic? I imagine there must be more to it then just the programming, so Digi/Bomb Factory stand against something like that?

Hi JBRecording,

Yes, it will work, but performance will be a bit sub-optimal - you won't be able to run quite as many UAD plugs as you would in a Cubase system, and you don't get automatic plugin delay compensation.

supaheef,

Technically I believe it's possible, but legally, no. Why don't you just ask those nice people at Bombfactory to port to VST or DX

Nice? Bomb Factory?? Why was Eric banned...? Gave out too many bunches of flowers I suppose...

Bomb Factory have stated that no VST/AU versions of their software are in the pipeline. Sony just released the Oxford plugs for PTLE, maybe AU is next.

Can you let us into the 'legal' details of the wrapper problem? How is the is the RTAS code owned?
