| 'Guitarded' Pro Tools newbie has Windows sound question Hello and I hope this message finds everyone doing well. I am an acoustic guitar player who recently ( a few months ago ) purchased an MBox2 solution. Have setup my MBox2 with a couple of Neumann KM-184's, and begun recording. No muss, no fuss. I have the MBox connected to a stereo receiver ( still in the process of researching powered monitors), and some speakers. I can monitor my tunes without issue. After downloading something called the "MME Helper", I am able to use the MBox, and attached speakers, to listed to .mp3's with third party mp3 players. The issue that I have is that when I try to listen to audio within a web browser, sometimes it works, and many times it will not work. Here is an example that I cannot listen to: http://www.deceptivesound.com/sounds/GuitarA.aif Quick time will start, and I do not hear any audio. This is probably an easy 'newbie 101' question, and I apologize if you all have seen this a million times. What can I do so that my web browsers play all sounds through the MBox? Thanks a bunch. | Make sure to add QuickTime to MME Helper and in the QuickTime prefs select your Digidesign hardware and select the "Safe mode" option. Rail

| Thank you for the help. A couple more bugs related to FireFox yet to work out, however, the Quicktime fix was greatly appreciated!!! Guitarded... ![]() |
