Wow. Amazing. Sets a new plug in standard. Takes your mix to a pro level. Sounds like the real thing. Possibly a solution to world peace.

I think that about covers it and you read it here first.

Really, it is quite amazing.

yes they do but i don't recall it being too sonically thrilling IMHO. i am sure there will be comparisons made (soon).... i would love to own the UAD plugins if they just didn't require the damned hardware to function.... maybe someday UA will make native versions?

haha. Yeah and its so warm and musical and has sheen and adds mix glue and analog feel

BTW...Whats going to be the next fruity catch word to describe stuff? Personally, I think "musical" takes the cake as the alltime sappiest word.

The 33609 seems a little spongey on the 2 buss compared the PSP Mastercomp.

how ironic, I'm the guy who started this thread and as soon as I updated to the 4.4.0 my uad-1 plugins start acting up! Everytime I load them up on a track ,the freakin card goes crazy. clicks pops, and all that good stuff, wont let me hear anything when I load the plugins in! email tech support about this maybe they can give me some help. But I cant wait to get this new plugin crackin baby!

I just got the plug too...
.. cool graphic/s looks and sounds just like the real thingAmazing..

Sorry guys,It's late and I couldn't resist..
I'd like to compare the real deal to the plug but I have no more PCI slots for the cards..
sounds like the emulation gap is slowing closing thoughthumbsup
a whole card for 1 full resolution instance is kinda tough..
..still cool stuff

somebody post some files..

mmm interesting.
When I bought my PT HD2 system, I took my UAD card out with the intention of selling it. However, since I have a spare slot, maybe I should wack it back in and use it just for this plug.
Is anyone here running their UAD card with Protools via the wrapper?
Do they play together nice?

Cheers
Kim

Works fine during mix, using PT HD5 and 2 UAD-1 cards without any problems.

Cheers,
Peter

That's funny..on the wrong material[2 buss] the real one can sound spongey too..

..thats why it usually rides the drum buss about 90% of the time.

.sounds like they got it right.

you need to already own the UAD PCI card(s) to demo this plugin i think. if the UAD plugins didn't require DSP cards i would own all of them. i keep hoping that UA will see that there are many people who want to use native versions of these plugins... but i guess they don't make as much $$ that way.. who knows?

There is a free download of a VST to RTAS adapter plugin available to all registered UAD-1 card users. Just login to your uaudio.com account and grab it in the downloads section.

If you don't have the card, you can't use the plugins, tho.
