Behringer: DJ CONTROLLER CMD MM-1

Can't find a shop to test them by myself...
Anybody gets his hands on them? for the price it seems to be pretty decent.
Can't get the info, but i think the rotary knobs are center detented.

thanks

Dear jmi,

Thanks for your interest in the CMD MM-1. The browsing encoder in the center of the MM-1 does have a detent or click resistance when turning. It basically clicks for ever time you browse a file or change a value.

It's great for file browsing in Traktor or Deckadance and also has red box support for session view clip triggering in Ableton. For every click, you can scroll up or down, cell-by-cell in Ableton's session view.

I do have the biased opionion of being a Behringer employee and have thoroughly enjoyed DJing with the MM-1 for the past couple months. It's great for four deck style DJ mixing and Ableton sets. The feel and build quality is nice and it's super intuitive/reminiscent of traditional DJ mixers. The BCR2000 is what generated my interest in working at this company and still remains in a class of it's own, nearly a decade into production.

question:
can I stack 3 or 4 MM-1s to get more and more faders in Ableton Live?

Dear sigmatibet,

Thanks for your question. We have a remote MIDI script that allows you to bank through groups of 4. However, you can certainly have multiple MM-1s assigned to groups of 4. The MM-1 also has the 4 port USB hub on the back and will allow you to connect only cable to the PC/laptop.

I just received the CMD MM1. I installed the Ableton remote script from behringer's website. I followed the install instructions exactly but have had no luck getting the script to work. This was the main reason I bought the controller so I am hoping Behringer can provide a working script.

Huh,

Just deleting the .py files from the script seemed to do the trick.

The script does not seem to allow banking through groups of four. The left right buttons move the redbox respectively, however, the faders stay locked on the first 4 tracks.

Hi, could anyone tell me if the EQ nobs, not the browsing one, have centre click as well?

Grrr... I'm having the same problem as Glowbody. I tried his fix (deleting the .py files) and that didn't work. Then I tried deleting the .pyc files and that didn't work. I've read several "how-to" guides on how to install third-party remote scripts, and it appears that I'm following them to the letter.

Still no good.

The hardware works. I can midi-map things and everything works fine. My MM-1 is on the default midi-channel (channel 5). I'm running Live 8.1 on Windows 7x64.

HELP????
