What will work on an old Mac

Ok, there's lots of questions about what will work on a new Intel Mac. But I'm looking at getting a G4 as it has all the power I will need for now.
So my question is:

Is there anything that will work on an Intel Mac that WON'T work on an older Mac like a G4?

Thanks a lot!
Matt

Everything will work on a G4(especially 1.25 dual and up) , as long as you have the latest OS , plenty of Ram and fast drives for Audio , everything else is compatible , the more appropriate question now is what works on the Mac Pro's

using still a G4 I can say it's great. the only limitation is running logic at 96 Khz with a more than 5 plugins at low latency. So if you want to do that, or just run a bazillion heavy plugs, get the mac pro.
