| Ummm, of course they will work. Windows (via BootCamp) is NOT emulation. It IS simply a souped up PC that can also run OSX. Period. BTW - i have a quad G5 (and a MacbookPro and MacMini Intel) - and the G5 is not slow .... anyways - enjoy, and you better buy more RAM ... i prefer 6 gigs in my Mac Desktops ![]()

i use to work with a dual 2.7 everyday... maxed it out all the time... i haven't maxed out my intel 960 once yet. a sessions i did last week wouldn't even load on the 2.7 the cpu meter was maxed out.. but with the intel 960 it loaded just fine and the session was at 68-75% during playback...when i overclocked the 960 by 10% the session was at 50% so i stand by how i feel about the old G5's... however.. i know someone with a intel mac dual core that performed so well i know the Quad is gonna be even better... i'm going to the apple store tomorrow to go get it.. i'ma get the Quad 2.66 probably unless they have a quad 3 in the store | ||

| The Mac Pros are incredible machines, but Apple has upped the notch requiring FB ECC RAM. You'll want a bare minimum of 2 GB and preferabley 4 GB to get rolling on any major work. Right now prices for the correct Apple guaranteed FB ECC RAM is running about $168.00 per GB in single 1 GB DIMMS. I'm sure these prices will come down, but it's a serious consideration for anyone looking to purchase a Mac Pro. |

| If you set up a native Windows partition via Boot Camp and you have a Windows version of the application, it should work. I guess it all depends on the application's system requirements. |
