| FireWire chain question Hi all, Can I turn off one of the drives in my chain and still use the rest? I have 5 drives and i want to turn off the 3rd one in the chain, will i get any problems? Cheers mac |

| Have you tried simply placing that drive at the end of the chain?

| Gear Head | If you've got so many devices chained it's probably better to use a Firewire hub. It will be far less likely to have problems due to excessive cable length, and you can power on and off any of the disks at will, without interrupting the bus. |
