stupid computer question

I just got some software called EZ Drummer and it says that I need 1,5 GB of free disc space, and my computer says I have 259 of MB free. Do I have enough to install the software? What is bigger a gigabite or a megabite?? I ask this because I want to make sure I can install this stuff before I open the box, because if I do I can't return it. Thanks for helping out a computer moron

1 Gb = 1000Mb

1 Gb = 1000 Mb
which means either of the 3 :
1.return it
2.Buy another Hard Drive
3. Make a MASSIVE clean up !

What operating system are you running on?
What is the total size of your drive?
And while you're at it, how much RAM do you have installed?

If your drive is at least 10GB, you may be able to free up enough space to install this rather bloated application (1.5GB, damn!).

FYI - In order of size (small to large):
1 bit - a 0 or a 1, (True or False, a logic decision)
1 byte - 8 bits
Kilobyte - 1 x 1024 (or 1024 bytes)
Megabyte - 1000 x 1024 (or 1024 Kilobytes)
Gigabyte - 1000 x 1000 x 1024 (or 1024 Megabytes)
Terabyte - 1000 x 1000 x 1000 x 1024 (or 1024 Gigabytes)
Petabyte... and so on...
Exabyte....
Zettabyte...
