Problems with Waves SSL Demo

Hi there,

I have some problems using the Waves SSL pack. I successfully authorised a demo
version to my Ilok and then installed them to use in PTLe 7.1 on Win XP.
Everytime I try to insert either the Channel strip or the Buss Comp I get a: " Buffer overrun" error and PT crashes. Only the EQ seems to work without any problems.
Anybody has any suggestions

My System specs:
PRo Tools Le 7.1 w/ Digi002R
Win XP w/ SP2
AMD Athlon XP 3000
1 GB RAM
ATI X800 GPU

Thumbs up

Hi,

First check this:
"The SSL requires an open GL V1.3 supported graphic card with a128 Mb RAM.
Please verify your card specs, updating to the latest card driver can help as well."
http://forum.waves.com/viewtopic.php...286d23c1e07bce

Second if you'are using Windows NON English Language change theses settings:
Access:
Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Customize

Look this picture:

do you need to put DOT as decimal symbol stike
and COMMA as List Separator stike

Its works too with other errors:
...\Digidesign\Pro Tools\Pro ToolsLE.exe
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Buffer overrun detected!
A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the prgram's internal state.

Other Tags for this problem:
"buffer overrun detected", "Waves SSL Error", "Pro Tools SSL Error", "ProTools Waves Error", "Waves buffer overrun", "SSL overrun", "PT M-Powered error in Waves Plugins", "Waves SSL & ProTools M-powered"
buffer overrun detected on c:\...\m-powered.exe ,

All the best
Marcus

I'm having this problem too.

I'm a on dual core PC with a 258 mb RAM GFX card.

I tried the language customization settings but they didn't help.

I aslo tried disabling hyperthreading but that didn't help either.

Every time I try to load the SSL 4000 Channel strip I get that buffer error.

Any suggestions to a potential solution?

The old Athlon XP's don't support SSE2 which could be the problem.

The Original Poster fixed his problem. I just revived this thread because I have a similar problem and his solution didn't work for me.

I have a Pentium...

Argh. I found the problem.

I re-installed Pro Tools 7.3 LE (yes, I'm so up to date haha) recently but forgot to update to 7.3.1. I just now updated and it works
