Using a PCI-based card(MOTU 2408 mk2) simultaneously with a FW card(MOTU 828 mk2)?

I have a motu 2408 mk2 that I could get a PCI upgrade card for my G5, but don't know if it will jive with the 828 mk2 that I am currently using (and don't want to bother getting the upgrade card if I can't use them both). Anyone do this or know if you can or cannot?

Also, I have a Cranesong HEDD as main stereo converters going via SPDIF to 828 and clocking the 828 via Wordclock. I would want to daisy chain the 3 as well if needed. Would this pose a problem? Thanks!

I can tell you that I have not been able to get firewire and PIC solutions to coexist, but that was a Tascan IFFW/DM and an EMU 1820m. Sorry couldn't be more help.
