Gold waves 3.5 for Windows 98..?

its kinda of an old os. so I don't know if anyone can help?.. I messed up my gold waves ver3.5 rtas win98.. I tried to upgrade to a newer ver. Not knowing it didn't work on win98. So I just erased it, thinking I can easily reinstall waves but everytime I try it says the installation file is currupt. its trippy? Sad scene.. all my files are messed up because they use some of these effects.. At least pro tools isnt messed up, but now, when I bring up my files, certain plugins that I use dont work, Q10, L1, some others) If anyone thinks they can help? have a solution to my problem? I'd galdly appreciate it.. Its messed up cause Ive had this computer for a long time,.. and I knew trying to upgrade would =jack it up.. Damn I messed up. ;(

or are there new viruses out that mess up installations.. I don't think my copy is bad.. I have it on cd, and the drive.. but it gets stuck around 20percent in the installation.. something about I/O? or currupt installation file?.. I don't know what else it could be?.. I don't know.. its a sad scene.. DANG.. I knew I shouldn't.. and I did anyway.. and now look what happended. ;(
