Connecting PC to HD TV

Hey guys my PC motherboard ASUS P5G41T- LX2M has only a VGA output(no HDMI).My HD TV has no VGA input.
Can I use a cable VGA(PC) to HDMI(TV) to connect my PC to my HD TV HDMI input?
Will it work or it has to be HDMI to HDMI?
If you need any other info, just let me know.
Thanks

You will need more than a cable. You'd need a box to turn the analog vga signals into the digital HDMI signal. It would be cheaper to add a usb to hdmi device to your pc and then hook it up to your tv via a hdmi to hdmi cable.

With box you mean a converter, right?
Nope, in my country usb to hdmi converters are about 50% more expensive than vga to hdmi converter.

Yes, i mean a vga to hdmi signal converter. It'll be an active device with it's own power supply.

Are you sure the TV does not have an analog input? Does it have a DVI input?
