Music Production on my Laptop
I am building a recording studio very soon and need to know if my laptop in going to function properly with the software I am going to run on it. I plan on getting Ableton Live 8 & Pro Tools, please let me know if I will need to purhase a different laptop/desktop computer or not. My current laptop is a:

HP Pavilion dv7-6c21 nr Entertainment PC
Processor: AMD A6-3420M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.5 GHz
6.00 GB Ram
Quad Core
64 Bit Operation System
Runs Windows 7
has Beats Audio

Please let me know if you will need anymore information. Thanks

Music can be made with lesser machine. Your laptop has more power than mine, but it limits you to using an external usb sound "card". Laptops with a firewire port or a pc-card port would support more kinds of external audio i/o device.
You really wouldn't want to use the built in audio in any consumer laptop.

So, Just purchase a External USB Sound Card and it should be a good laptop for my needs? Also, I was told that I should probably purchase an External HardDrive as well... Is that true in your opinion?
